Genuine seashell scallop shell art journal / Blank watercolor paper sketchbook

Here we have a handmade art journal for you, for your artistic fingers! The covers of this art journal are 2 scallop seashells. This watercolor book is a little bit smaller than the other Pecten scallop shell book in my shop. This is a super unique item and it is extra special. I love making these. I hand made these, stitching them together with a needle and upholstery thread. Each signature has been cut by hand to conform to the individual curves of each half of the shell.

The size of this journal is about 3 inches x 3 inches x 1 1/4 inches. This are one of a kind pieces.  The shells themselves have imperfections which are reflective of the turbulent nature of the sea. As natural objects the shells have small imperfections like chips and slight variations in color and texture which I select for because I feel this makes them more beautiful and organic, adding to the charm and the handmade nature of the book.
