Here we have a handmade art junk journal for you, for your artistic fingers! The covers of this art journal are 2 Lion's Paw scallop seashells. This is a super unique item and it is extra special. I loved making this. I stitched it together with a needle and waxed nylon thread. Each signature has been cut by hand to conform to the individual curves of each half of the shell.
I've included 2 videos here so you can see all the different materials I've used in this super unique book. I've used hand dyed cloth, a few doilies, parchment paper, tissue paper, brown kraft paper and various scrapbook papers, that I have altered by hand. I've used paint, pens. stain, and lots of different stamps to add weirdness and charm to each page. On the spine I stitched a piece of driftwood as well.
2 huge Lion's Paw shells form the ends of the book. These ethically sourced seashells add a touch of coastal charm and make each sketchbook truly one-of-a-kind. Their natural beauty and intricate details provide a delightful visual and tactile experience, bringing a slice of the ocean into your creative space.
This journal is a one of a kind gift for the artistic souls in your life. Surprise a fellow artist, art student, or nature enthusiast with this unique and functional keepsake. Its blend of practicality and coastal charm will surely bring joy and inspiration to their creative process.

The size of this journal is about 6 inches x 6 inches x 3 inches. This is a huge book! It has a nice heavy feel in your hand. This is a one of a kind piece. The shells themselves have imperfections which are reflective of the turbulent nature of the sea. Some small chips and cracks in the shells are to be expected and I feel this adds to the charm and the handmade nature of the book.
